What is the Beacon?
The Beacon’s light shines bright in the heart of the city of Altaris. However, its strength is starting to fade! Secure resources to sustain the Beacon’s light before dark forces take over. The Beacon is a PvE experience where citizens complete missions for the good of Altaris.
This MMO-inspired game features co-op gameplay, social hubs, player homes, progression ladders, and more. Enter dungeons, battle monsters, and upgrade your combat skills and style along the way! Jump into single or multiplayer PvE in a world where reflexes, strategy, and social alliances come together. Here are a few updates going LIVE during this playtest:
- Fresh monsters, traps, obstacles, challenges, and power-ups
- New and procedurally-generated dungeons that assemble themselves on the fly
- Upgraded client (now available on Epic Games)

Getting access to the Beacon’s playtest
First, connect your Ronin Wallet to the Beacon to secure playtest access. Second, Wishlist the Beacon on the Epic Games Store to receive a notification once it goes LIVE. Here’s what you need to do:
How to connect your Ronin Wallet
Step 1: Go to https://app.thebeacon.gg
Step 2: Click Sign-in, select Wallet, and connect your Ronin Wallet or Waypoint account
Step 3: Set your username, walk around in-game, and talk to NPCs!
How to Wishlist the Beacon on the Epic Games Store
Step 1: Go to https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/the-beacon-866697
Step 2: Click “Add to wishlist”
Note: You need an Epic Games account to wishlist the Beacon. It only takes a few minutes to create one.
Participate in the playtest → Get onchain rewards
Every user who connects their Ronin Wallet or Waypoint accounts and participates in the playtest will receive an airdrop after the event. Secure an exclusive, limited-time R-Vision headset NFT that you can wear in-game! The asset will be mintable in the future. Playtesters will also receive an account-bound Adventurer’s Backpack item. Coming soon to the Beacon
The roguelite RPG is just the beginning of the Beacon’s expansive universe. The team is working on introducing PvP elements, launching an ecosystem token, building UGC tools to empower creators, as well as spin-off games like auto-battlers, tower defense games, and more.
