Key Points
- Land owners can now delegate their plots to stewards, who will have the opportunity to play Axie Infinity: Homeland!
- App.axie enables anyone to delegate, claim, or revoke their land plots in a few easy steps.
- Gameplay rewards – like Leaderboard earnings – will be credited to the land owner’s Ronin wallet. Any agreements made between players are the responsibility of the land owner and their steward.
We’re thrilled to share that Land Owners can now delegate their plots to Stewards in Axie Infinity: Homeland! Delegate an unstaked plot and – if your steward places on the leaderboard – earn rewards. This long-awaited feature gives more Lunacians the opportunity to play Homeland without owning a plot, while unlocking an exciting new dynamic for land owners. If you’re ready to accept the responsibility of delegating or borrowing land on Lunacia, click the button below to get started!
Please note that staked land plots cannot be delegated. The purpose of this release is to test the delegation feature as we build momentum towards the end of Alpha and the introduction of new AXS gameplay loops within Homeland.
Key Terms
Land Delegation makes Axie Infinity: Homeland more accessible and introduces an exciting new dynamic for land owners. Here’s everything you need to know about it:
Land Owner Benefits
If you own a Land Plot, you are a land owner! That means you can delegate your land to a steward and give them access to your plot in Axie Infinity: Homeland. Today, you can only earn rewards if your steward places on the Leaderboard: in this case, rewards will be credited to the land owner’s Ronin wallet address. Plus, land owners with multiple plots can delegate each plot to a single – or multiple – stewards. Note that land owners must set a delegation period between 1 and 365 days.
Steward Benefits
If a land owner delegates a plot to you, you are a steward. Stewards have access to a land owner’s plot in Axie Infinity: Homeland. If you place on the Leaderboard, your rewards will be credited to the land owner’s Ronin wallet address. If you’d like to share in these rewards too, you must work this out with the land owner on your own. Connect with a land owner or a steward in our Discord channel here:
What is Delegating?
When you delegate a Land Plot, you assign it to a steward. This gives the steward access to your plot in Axie Infinity: Homeland. If you want to reclaim possession of your plot, you must either revoke or claim it.
What is Revoking?
When a land owner revokes a Land Plot, they take it back from a steward. Stewards cannot revoke Land Plots or end the delegation themselves. Land owners can revoke their Land Plot anytime after 24 hours have passed from their initial delegation. We recommend letting the steward know before revoking the plot from them.
What is Claiming?
After a delegation period expires, the land owner must claim their plot using App.axie.
How to Delegate a Plot
Step 1: Go to app.axie and open your User Dashboard
Step 2: Click on “Land Delegation”
Step 3: Select the plot (or plots) you would like to delegate
Step 4: Input the stewards address and the expiration date
Step 5: Click “Delegate” and complete the transaction from your Ronin wallet
How to Become a Steward
If you would like to borrow Land to play Homeland, you’ll need a land owner to delegate their plot to you. We suggest connecting with a land owner through our Discord channel, and then following the steps in our support article below.
Final Thoughts
Land Delegation is now live! We’re excited to see how gameplay continues to evolve as we keep shipping relentlessly. See you in Lunacia, and one more thing…
